GrowBotiq is the result of about two years of research and development across plant science, software, computer vision and hardware-software integration.

Around 200 beta growers, from experienced home growers to medium and large operations, shaped the trichome workflow and the cultivation tools you see in the app today. Along the way we have collaborated with universities and cannabis companies.

    The idea

    Growers still judged harvest by eye, with a loupe. We started building a trichome dataset and training the first models.

  2. 2025

    First AI detection

    Transparent, cloudy and amber, classified automatically. Then we moved everything on-device.

    Beta with growers

    Around 200 growers, universities and cannabis companies shaped the app.

We want GrowBotiq to be the point of reference for cannabis cultivation: the tool every grower opens before making a decision.

Today a photo tells you when to harvest. Together with universities and labs, we are studying how much more a single image of the trichomes can reveal about what’s inside the flower.
